About the West Chester Chili Cook-Off

Welcome to the West Chester Chili Cook-Off, the spiciest event of the year!  Nestled in the heart of our charming town, this beloved festival has become a staple for chili enthusiasts, foodies, and families alike.

Our Story

The West Chester Chili Cook-Off began with a simple idea: to bring the community together through the love of chili.  For 20 years, it has grown from a small gathering of local cooks to a highly anticipated annual event that draws thousands of visitors from near and far.  What started as a friendly competition has blossomed into a vibrant celebration of culinary creativity, community spirit, and, of course, delicious chili!

Exciting Transition

This year, the West Chester Chili Cook-Off has transitioned from being organized by the Rotary Club of West Chester to Fiorenza’s Food For Friends (F4).  This exciting change marks a new chapter for the festival, ensuring its continued growth and impact on the community.  F4 is dedicated to addressing food insecurity and supporting local communities, making them a perfect fit to carry forward the legacy of the Chili Cook-Off.

What to Expect

Mouth-Watering Chili

At the heart of our festival is the chili competition, where cooks from all walks of life showcase their unique recipes.  From traditional beef chili to creative vegetarian versions, and everything in between, there’s a chili for every palate.  Attendees can sample and vote for their favorites, making every vote count in determining the “People’s Choice Award.”

Live Entertainment

Enjoy a variety of live music that keeps the energy high and the atmosphere lively.  Local bands and acoustic groups will be playing your favorite tunes at 3 different locations. There’s never a dull moment at the West Chester Chili Cook-Off.

Vendor Village

Explore a diverse array of local vendors offering everything from artisanal crafts to delicious snacks.  Support local businesses and find unique treasures to take home.

Nonprofit Showcase

This year’s event proudly features a dedicated area where local nonprofit organizations provide information about their services.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the invaluable work these organizations do in our community and find out how you can get involved.  From addressing food insecurity and homelessness to supporting education and health initiatives, these nonprofits are making a difference every day.

Community Spirit

The West Chester Chili Cook-Off is more than just a food festival; it’s a celebration of our community.  Proceeds from the event will benefit F4 by enabling them to make a positive impact on Chester County and beyond.  With F4 at the helm, nonprofit organizations will benefit from F4 programs that offer them more access to sources of food to support their programs.

Who is Fiorenza’s Food For Friends (F4)?

Fiorenza’s Food For Friends (F4) is a non-profit organization that is taking unprecedented steps to eradicate hunger in America!  F4 is creating “Hunger Awareness” with a strategic and innovative food recovery and production process.

F4 serves as a “connector” who establishes sustainable partnerships and coordinates the logistics of food donations on behalf of other nonprofits feeding the hungry.  F4 works with local businesses interested in giving back to their local community by donating excess food.  Donating partners include markets, food distributors, restaurants, caterers, schools, and many others.  F4 also coordinates food drives for businesses and communities to donate to local nonprofits feeding the hungry.  This model provides a sustainable way to ensure that food donations benefit food service providers, shelters, and the final recipients – our neighbors.  F4 is Chester County’s largest food recovery organization.
